Overcoming the COVID-19 Pandemic

Over the past few months, our country has been battling the COVID-19 virus. This virus created a pandemic where citizens were asked, unless you are an essential worker, to stay at home. Understandably, this decision was what was needed to save millions of lives. However, it also put financial strains on many small businesses, including Luna Brand Management. Our clients work face-to-face with their customers; since they could no longer safely do this, they had to put our services on hold. In light of this setback, it was our goal to think outside of the box and do what was needed to continue being strong for our team, and we did just that!

How are we thriving during this pandemic? By reaching out and spreading the word that we need help! There is no shame in admitting that during these challenging times, you are struggling. Shortly after the outbreak, GoFundMe announced that they would give business owners a $500 grant if they could raise $500 on their site. Initially, this was our goal. We set up an account, explained our situation, and shared the link throughout social media. The reaction we got from our clients, friends, and family left us speechless. By the end of the fundraiser, we raised over $3,000, including the $500 grant from GoFundMe! It is in times like this that you realize who your people are.

Since our first fundraiser was such a success, we thought, why stop here? Our team put our heads together and decided that our next fundraiser should not only focus on us but on all small businesses. We designed a Luna Brand Management themed “shop small” t-shirt and offered it for sale! Many companies, throughout our country and the world, are struggling right now, and we all must remember to shop small. In the end, we sold fifty shirts. To think that fifty people found it in their hearts to support our cause brings us immense joy!

If there is one thing that this pandemic has taught us, it would be that even during the worst of times, we have the strength and the determination needed to survive. Businesses throughout the country are slowly being given the go-ahead to start opening back up. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Although we have a long way to go, it feels fantastic to know that like all bad things, this too shall pass.

From all of us here at Luna Brand Management, we want to thank everyone that participated in our fundraisers, offered advice, sent an encouraging message, and was there for us throughout this pandemic. Your support means the world to us, and thanks to you all, we are coming out of this stronger than ever. Our team is feeling inspired and motivated to make the second half of 2020 our best yet.
